I had a Tamron 18-250, it was too exciting to not try it out but after all I sold. The reasons?
- nearly always stuck on iso400
- lack of contrast
- heavy chromatic aberrations
- poor color reproduction
- the f6,3 at the end killed me
- couldn't use after 200mm because of heavy quality (sharpness) loss
Of course this superzoom had it's own good sides:
- I took down the grip and I had light, p&s-like, but SLR camera
- endless possibilities of composition
- very good sharpness. A little bit more post-processing in Adobe Camera RAW gives very good quality images since chromatic aberrations, contrast and color can be adjusted but sharpness cannot be recovered.
