I'm passionate about Art Deco imagery so I try to infuse my art with it whenever I can. I love the metallic craftsmanship & attention to detail & color from that period and I think you can see that reflected in many of the illustrations & backgrounds I create.
Another of my favorite things that has become a major influence on my art is ARCHITECTURAL ORNAMENTATION. I love being able to create a unique and truly beautiful background or framing that is inspired by the amazing craftsmanship I witness every single day in so many of Chicago's fabulous and ecclectic neighborhoods.
